International Accreditation and Memberships
UMEF is recognised for its outstanding level of management and educational system from two leading accreditation agencies and a certification agency. It is also a member of several outstanding accreditation agencies in the USA. UMEF is also proud to maintain academic excellence.
Furthermore, IACBE (International Accreditation Council for Business Education) has accredited all UMEF programmes (bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate) in its business school.
UMEF was founded in 1984, in accordance with Swiss Law, as a higher private education institution in the Canton of Geneva and is still currently registered as such. It offers programmes from Bachelors to Masters, as well as continued education such as doctoral programmes in both English and French.
International Accreditation Council for Business Education
The School of Business at SWISS UMEF University has received specialized accreditation for its business programmes through the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) located at 11374 Strang Line Road in Lenexa, Kansas, USA. CHEA – Council for Higher Education Accreditation
IACBE is recognised by CHEA, which is one of the world’s largest institutional organisations for higher education accreditation in the USA. (Accredited)
In addition to being accredited by IACBE, UMEF is certified by EduQua, the Swiss System of Quality and Management organisation. (Certified)
ACBSP Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs
UMEF is also a recognised member of the ACBSP (Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs). UMEF is presently a candidate for accreditation.
ACBSP is a global business education accrediting body and the only organization to offer accreditation to all levels of collegiate business education degree programs from associate to doctoral.

UMEF is a member of SWISS LABEL, the association for the promotion of Swiss products and services, an association in accordance with Art. 60 et seq. of the Swiss Civil Code. SWISS LABEL’s mission is to provide support, in the broadest sense, to various brands and labels.
SWISS LABEL’s origin dates back to 1917 (founding of ‘Schweizer Woche’). Its trademark is the crossbow, which is protected in Switzerland and other important export destination countries.
